This Olympiad organized by FIDÈ is one of the biggest sporting events to take place.
Nearly 180 countries took part and the event happens every 2 years.
It is so mesmerizing players from all over the world showcasing their talents.
This year it was scheduled to happen in Moscow though due to current circumstances because of Covid- 19 online sources are to be approached.
In the event they are 4 divisions in which India holds it position in top or Division 1.
India along with 24 other teams such as,
Russia, China, United States of America, Ukraine, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Cuba, Poland, Kazakhstan, Vietnam, Georgia, Iran, Canada, Egypt, Peru, Mongolia, Uzbekistan, Brazil, Paraguay, France, Algeria, South Africa, Morocco, Zimbabwe.
All the matches are played on 6 boards divided into four categories.
A ( Open)- Board 1 and 2
B ( Woman)- Board 3 and 4
C ( U-20)- Board 5
D ( U-20 Girl)- Board 6
Each team consists of six main players which includes,
- Atleast 2 women
- Alteast 1 player U-20
- Atleast 1 player Girl U-20
Each team should have a captain.
Each team may have 6 reserves.
2 players in each A and B categories.
1 player in each C and D categories.
Time control- It will be a Rapid format tournament.
15 minutes + 5 seconds increment per move, starting from move one.
