Common Sense day was first started by Bud Bilanich commonly known as 'The Common Sense Guy' who is a speaker, author & a blogger.

The reason why Bud Bilanich chose 4th November to be the "Use Your Common Sense Day" is because it's the birthday of Will Rogers (an American stage and film actor) who was born on 4 November and famous for his quote about Common Sense. Will Rogers’s famous line “Common Sense Ain’t That Common” is actually the backstory of Use Your Common Sense Day:))

It is believed that Bud Bilanich said that this day is to make people believe in the power of applied common sense.

Well now, you must be wondering about the need to celebrate Common Sense Day.

Well, it is quite obvious that the need to celebrate Common Sense Day is to make people aware of the necessity of Common Sense in our lives. On this day, various people are encouraged to apply Common sense before taking any decisions. Moreover, various workshops & campaigns about Common Sense are also held.
