Despite the raging storm,

Killing through all norms,

To the city of Joy,

Here she comes.

A fierce animal she rides,

Questions everywhere open wide,

With her four children,

She remains driven.

No matter what they say,

You gotta believe there’s a way,

No matter what they show,

You can’t let them see your woe.

The day has finally come,

Waking up to the loud beats of the drum,

Spirits high everywhere,

And the people’s happiness floating in the air.

Ma Durga has arrived,

Making us feel a lot surprised,

To her home she has come back,

And our enthusiasm does not lack.

The people of Kolkata,

Their joy knows no bounds,

Finally it is their time,

To override the virus’s crime.

It is their time to enjoy to the fullest,

To be at their most truest,

It is their time to shine,

As their stars align.
