On Step Family Day
A Step family is basically the family that is formed by the remarriage of a particular person. Often some marriages do not last for long & as a result, people remarry. When they find new partners in their lives step families are created. So, there's this special day called the Step family day which celebrates the togetherness of these families.
On this day, such families spend time with each other by probably doing special activities or in some other way & children pay their respect and honor to their step parents.
Christy Borgeld is credited to have found this day in 1997. It is said that he created this official day to give step families to realise their strong family bond & structure respectively, give recognition to all the family members of a family (be it normal or a step family). On this day every family members of a family have a sense of responsibility for the other members. This day is celebrated especially in US by the following ways:
● Arranging & participating in both picnic gatherings as well as individual family picnics.
● Writing letters to one another & expressing what they like about each other.
● Planning a family camp outside or arranging an indoor movie & games night.
Well you see my dear readers, a family is a family & will always be whether it's a normal one or a step one. Love your family & family members always, & also do respect them always. This is our responsibility!!
