Forever- A Brother’s Love

He sat there, tears rolling down his cheeks. He couldn’t move even an inch. His whole body was throbbing with such an intensity that he had never felt before. This time they went too far. They went too far even though it was completely unnecessary.

He tried to move. Bit by bit, he tried to escape the searing pain rushing through his every inch. His bones, his muscles, everything seemed to hinder his movements.

Why did he have to face this every time? Why did he have to go through all this even though he did nothing wrong? Why does this unnecessary beating never stop? He didn’t do anything to his father to make him so mad at him. All he wanted to do was protect his mother and his little baby sister. At least she didn’t get hurt, which was a huge relief to him.

Her innocence shouldn’t get tarnished, like his, did by his father. He would protect his sister forever from his father. He would never let her be an innocent victim of aggression like he had become. All he could do was hope for strength from the Almighty so that he had the courage as well as chance to do what he wished.

He put his head under the gushing water from the tap. He tried to forget and tried to ease his pain. Still, the image of his father advancing towards his baby sister couldn’t be erased. It would never be erased.

His father didn’t want a girl child, and that is the reason all of this takes place every single day. But he couldn’t let his father place a single hand on his baby sister. No one will. He will always be there to protect her. Forever and ever.
