Hard Luck Woman
My breath controlled by strings
The dark hands of destiny
A stream that leads striaght foward
I am carried in the current trying to reach the dirt
I'm a passenger in the desert trying to look for a river
Being raised with a spoon of silver
I met this guide who was the opposite of a nun
I knew she was a hard luck woman
I stopped remembering the things
The words which were said to me in warning
The neon lights blind me
Lost in a trance and living in a dream
I find her lips wrapped around mine
The next day I find myself helpless behind a telephone line
Her body white as marble like those in Louvre
I had treaded this territory farther than I should
I find my stream zigzag into distance
The end I cannot see
I want to ease my mind
I know how to laugh but I forget why
I continue my journey in the plains
Even through the pains
When I find myself lost at the crossroads thinking I was done
I was face to face with the hard luck woman
We smoked a bunt beneath the sign
Our faces burning in the hot sunshine
I got up destined to find the dirt
Turning abruptly without saying a word
