On Gandhiji Jayanti
Now, let me ask you a question!! Whenever you think of Mahatma Gandhiji what comes to your mind?? Yes, you are correct!! “The ideas of Gandhiji” first comes to your mind!! Gandhi was a great supporter of Truth and Non-violence. With the help of our brave Gandhiji, the concept of nonviolence successfully attained a special seat. During our freedom struggle, Gandhi introduced the spirit of Satyagraha to the world. Now, it’s quite obvious that you are thinking that what does this “Satyagraha” mean?? Well, this interesting word: Satyagraha means devotion to truth, remaining constant on the truth and resisting untruth actively with all our might but definitely by not taking violent mediums!! It is clearly understandable from his concepts that Truth is relative. Man is not capable enough of knowing the absolute or 100 percent accurate truth. Truthfulness means working constantly towards a discovery of the absolute & ultimate truth. To Gandhiji, non-violence was not a negative concept but a positive sense of righteousness. He gave the idea of loving the wrong-doers, but not the wrong. He strongly opposed any sort of submission to wrongs and injustice in an indifferent manner, he tried to sort the matter politely in every way without adopting any violent methods. He thought that the culprit could be resisted only through the disunion of all relations with them. Gandhiji believed that without the practice of Non-Violence Truth cannot be realized. Gandhi employed a curious argument to establish this point. Gandhi stated that all beings are united by Almighty and the act of unification is made possible through love or Non-Violence. So, Non-Violence is the cementing bond of the Universe that has its origin in God or to be more precise “Truth”. Gandhiji believed in honesty. Trying to cover up a lie may require a person to lie even more and this interestingly becomes a brutal circle. Hence, a person should be honest from the first instant, no matter how harsh the truth is, no matter what he would face if he accepts it. Even I personally feel, the actual courage of a person is judged upon his/her ability to accept the truth no matter what the outcome or result may it cause!!
So, as a conclusion we may say that we should always try to be a person full of righteousness & stay away from evil thinking or ideas!!
