Where to start from, the name itself gives so many chills through my spine.

It's the day of Dadagiri, the Prince of Calcutta, the man who changed the game no one ever thought about. His accomplishments are beyond imagination.

Sourav Ganguly, the name sends me back to two specific memories. The moment, all of us have heard and cherished upon, the moment of Zaheer Khan on strike, India needed 2 runs from 5 balls at Lords, 2 wickets at hands and the Final of Natwest. But for our beloved Dada it was something more than that, Flintoff with ball in hand rushes to bowl, Zaheer nudges to single and then an over throws wins us the match.

We all have seen the aggressive Dada, rushing to every opportunity to sledge back the opponents and backing up his team but few people only has witnessed the love he has towards the game. Many talents such as Virendra Sehwag, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Zaheer Khan and many more have been scouted and groomed by none other than Dada. And icing on the cake is his retirement didn’t stop his urge to make his scouting talents go a bit in vain.

The next scenario which stuck to me forever is something can't be expressed in words. This is something I as a fan witnessed, the aggressive Dada as a humble, calm and supportive mentor, teaching the skills he has mastered since ages to the upcoming generation to come .And as a matter of fact , I really don't have to say much as currently he is the president of BCCI and Indian cricket future is in such a legendary hands there are a lot to come as we witnessed the first day and night test match at Eden Gardens. This achievements are the baby steps towards the new opportunities he has vision for.

Though he has retired from the field of cricket, he will never be retired from our hearts.

Wishing you Happy Birthday, and thanking you for all the goosebumps you have given while playing those off drives and piercing through the gaps for four.
