The First Rain
At Pen: Ananya Kundu
The first rain.
The Unique smell spread all around,
We could see, a leaf growing from the seed
Which was sowed Inside the ground.
Suddenly Dark clouds gathered above,
Sparrows, crows, all inside their homes,
Including the Dove.
Slowly the raindrops came down,
The first drop itself touched the ground.
The weather made a gloomy sound,
The clouds rushing, which had no bound
The drains overflowing,
The new born flowers dancing,
Mother Earth enjoying,
But for us, "It's so boring "
Suddenly there was a silence very sober,
The smell of mud all over.
The beautiful rainbow towards up,
People enjoying themselves
With a coffee mug.
Children in their Raincoat,
Ready with their paper boat.
Stepped out of their home,
And Mother Earth, enjoying even more.
Frogs and snails were found here and there,
The children's boots were getting dirty in the mud,
But they didn't care.
For them, it was time to sing.
The birds were spreading out their wings.
For everyone, it was time to enjoy with the sky,
That's all for Today, now bye-bye.
