The perfect "Irrfan Khan"

To Irrfan Khan,

It feels like a personal loss. I don't really have a clue as to what should I start with - Champak or Raj? Vikram or Ashoka? perhaps there's no 3.5 or 4 stars to your movies. You're the spotlight, keeping the audience trapped to yourself. Hindi medium, Lunchbox, Angrezi medium - they're all my personal favourites. Just the last week I watched 'Angrezi medium' which was available on Hotstar. My dad introduced me to you in one of your movies (i can't reminisce the name ) back in class 3 and till date, I haven't skipped a channel where I would find your movie streaming. You can truly take us along with the character you wear, we laugh and cry with you.

You're the magical realism. Is it something less than magic that so many people who have never met you still mourn the loss today? Isn't it magic that among thousands of stars on the sky , we cry for that one star who has stopped burning? Well, this is because your acting is just a metaphor to the ordinary. It is because you bring out the intrinsic flavour of ordinary men in every frame which've made bits and parts of ourselves to remain within you. 'I trust, I have surrendered' these were the words you wrote in 2018 opening up about your fight against cancer. But never for a moment you've made us realise in even your last movie that you were fighting a demon throughout. You're the strongest. Your movies will tell stories for decades long.

You are the man behind the actor.

You are the human behind 'being human'. I am at a loss of words to bring up together the remains you've left with us. We are all radios and typewriters for the generations to come holding thousands of words for you. And for one last time, I would play the song in the back of my head - '' Kuch bhi na suna kab ka tha gila kaise keh diya alvida''
