This is a small write up on one of the recent film's one character which I absolutely loved
To Bulbbul,
The 'Thakurain' of her in-laws family where they worshipped Ma Kali was forced into child marriage with an old man, tortured by her own husband, raped by her own relative.
The 'Woman' who protested against the patriarchal society with her superior powers who was thrown into a life which she didn't even know.
The 'Girl' who was not provided the innocent childhood, was deprived of trust from her husband, was devoid of basic education.
Bulbbul is every girl who has to face the dark side of life. Bulbbul is not a single girl - it is every girl who has faced harassment, marital rape, domestic violence and has been sexually assaulted in her own house. Bulbbul quietly took revenge unlike Binodini, who quietly accepted the cruel system.
