On International Literacy Day

A being from democracy,

Preaching the sea of literacy.

The invaluable currency,

But for many, still a fantasy.

Honey for the lucky,

Knowledge for the rich.

Sorry for the monkey,

Those we cannot teach.

To learn is to light a fire;

Every word be a spark.

And to spread is being higher;

Bringing lives out of dark.

A tiny victory,

Changing the very history.

No damage and none to fall,

Let's bring literacy for all.
