[Read full article] At Pen: Soumita Kundu ||VOICE OF FREEDOM|| She emptied the beer bottle and kept it on the desk. The letter is still on the desk. In bold red colour it read, STOP OR ELSE DEATH. It was the third threat letter that she received this week after a sudden attack by a stranger while she was returning from office and also strangers intruded upon her flat few days back. Her laptop is on the bed. She knew that this case was not going to be easy, as she saw her senior getting murdered who was the official journalist for this case. But receiving threat letters and finding blocks at every corner, she didn't expect this. She lighted a cigarette and started writing down the information on her blog. It's been three months she is constantly researching on this case, she went to different places to get a lead and right now she has a lot of information. She tried to convince her company and wanted to publish the news, but they brushed off the case by saying "It's too confidential and it might trigger some powerful personnels as well. We don't want our company to get shut down like the two other companies who were reporting this case". She promised herself, she will give justice to the young girl who was gang raped, slaughtered, murdered and was found from behind a temple. No one is trying to report this case, no one is caring about the child. She thought to herself "Doesn't the young girl's life matter to anyone? Is there no freedom to report and research for a case in today's world? Why is everyone surrendering just because influential names are associated with this case?" Few missing puzzles are yet to be find out for this case; as soon as she gets them, she will publish her blog online. She completed her writing and turned the laptop off and went to sleep. Next day morning, her burnt dead body was discovered from her flat. Last night, her entire flat and all of her belongings were charred and nothing was possible to recover. No police complaint was lodged as it was a clear case of accident and nothing else. But her office colleagues knew - yet again a VOICE OF FREEDOM has been suppressed.
