Winter: Bitter, Sweet and Imperative
At pen-Rajanya Chakraborty
After the gloomy monsoon,
We know that winter will come soon.
She is surrounded by fog and mist,
Her white gown is decorated by a million flowers at least.
She leaves a trail of snow behind;
It’s not your fault if you can’t find.
Her beauty is actually deceiving;
It’s true and also depressing.
She is loved and she is feared.
She can give life or can make it disappear.
Under her rule, you challenge to survive;
You know in spring, you will revive.
If you are sure that you will endure,
Her obstacles can you then ignore.
You can enjoy the morning dew
And observe what winter has for you.
See colorful ‘petunias’ or celebrate Christmas;
Paint life because it is just an empty canvas.
Take pleasure in your winter vacations,
By organizing picnics in different locations.
Winter can be bitter, winter can be sweet;
But a year without winter is incomplete.
