Well first aid is basically the help given to an injured patient until proper medical treatment is available. Proper first aid can help save the life of a person & hence can be even compared to Gold!!! Yeah, it's like gold for several injured & sick patients.
World First Aid Day is celebrated to make people aware of how first aid can save the lives of people. Well you see such a simple thing can save the life of thousands of people if properly applied. So, everyone on this day is taught the proper usage of First Aid or to be more precise "A First Aid Box". Everyone needs to know the basic application of First aid in order to be responsible citizens of the country.
This day teaches all of us quite a many valuable lessons:
■ The primary goal of First aid is to save a patient's life & thus stop their condition from worsening.
■ It's not necessary that every time doctors & medical staff will only be able to save someone's life. Well you know, earlier there weren't any doctors so when someone from someone's family became sick, the most elder & learned member of the family/neighborhood was called & that particular person would try to save the patient's life by basic applications of every day life. The best example is: applying leaves & flowers’ extracts from the tree. But now, only doctors are trusted. Yes, it is true that maybe doctors can treat people perfectly but there are times when doctors aren't available & in that situation it's the responsibility of the family members to give some pre medical treatment like First Aid.
Do you know my dear readers that the world First Aid Day was first started in 2000 by the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC)??? Every year more than 100 people across the world are made aware of the benefits of First Aid. Yes, that's right!! This means that the lives of 100 patients are getting saved every year... Now, that's a real good news.
So, now let me tell you what all of you learnt today by reading this:
●We can all conclude that first aid is really important and plays a crucial role in all of our lives but appropriate training and knowledge is necessary while giving first aid to an injured or infected person. This is what is taught today.
● Also, we should carry first aid all the time even while travelling or going out, if possible
● And most importantly, we should all keep first aid kit in our respective houses!!
